HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- Hartford Men's Golf finished their first 36 holes at the NCAA DIII Championship placing 26th out of 43 teams. The tournament took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the first round being cut short on Tuesday due to Heavy Rain, and at both the Las Colinas and El Campeon courses at the Mission Inn Resort. The Hawks were not able to make the top 18 team cut, and this will conclude their 2025-26 season. 

Rapid Recap:

• After the first round was cut short due to heavy rain the Hawks would finish round one, and round two on Wednesday May 13th. 
• Freshman Zack MacMillan (Toronto, Ontraio) lead the way for Hartford placing 51st, shooting a lot 74 (+3) in round one, and a 72 (+1) in round two. 
• Freshman Manolo Vargas (Medellin, Colombia) would come in 88th Place, shooting a 70 (-1) in round one, and a 80 (+8) in the second round. 
• Freshman Griffin La Londe (Montclair, N.J.) finished in 144th place, with a score of 77 (+6) in the first round, and a 78 (+6) in the second round. 
• Freshman Shawn Amari (Townsend, Mass.) and freshman Tim Kaley (Dalton, Mass.) would tie for 184th place, with Amari shooting a 81 (+10) in the first round, and a 79 (+7) in the second round. Kaley would shoot a 75 (+4) in the first round and a 85 (+13) in the second round. 
• Illinois-Wesleyan currently sit in first after the first two rounds, with Ryan Dunn from Oglethorpe leading the way sitting at -6.

Inside the Numbers:

• The Hawks would finish with 17 birdies through two rounds.
