PROVIDENCE, RI. – The Hartford Hawks Men's Soccer team hit the road to take on a nationally ranked Conference of New England (CNE) opponent and walked away victorious by the score of 3-0. The Hawks improve to 7-5-2 on the year with a 3-3-1 record within the CNE.

Rapid Recap:

  • The Hawks came off the bus firing, netting not one but two goals in the early minutes of the matchup. The first tally came off the boot of junior midfielder Ron Palillo (Stony Brook, N.Y.) at the 9-minute mark. This was Palillos' first goal on the season. Hartford's offense would not stop there, however, as junior midfielder Austin Murawski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) sent home his 5th goal on the season in the 12th minute to make the score 2-0. In goal, senior Ryan Lunn (Southington, Conn.) held true for the Hawks, making 3 saves in the first half of the contest.
  • The Hawks would keep the pedal on the medal coming out of half time, playing staunch defense, only allowing 4 shots total in the half. For good measure, sophomore midfielder Kyle Theobald (Sandyston, N.J.) fired in another goal for the Hawks, his 2nd of the year, to make the score 3-0 Hartford. Murawski also picked up an assist on Theobald's goal.
