Hawks Fall on the Road to Nichols College 7-0

DUDLEY, Mass. - The Hartford women's tennis team faced off against Nichols College this Thursday afternoon, but ultimately came up short in all seven matches, 7-0.

Rapid Recap:

  • The Hawks dropped all three doubles matches as the Bison took each by a 6-0 score other than senior Gabrielle Carr (Bedford, Mass.) who was able to get a point on the board 6-1 against their opponent.
  • In singles play, sophomore Victalia Z. Deida (New Haven, Conn.) put up a fight in #3 singles going 0-6, then 1-6 in the final set. Senior Lora Acquario (East Nassau, N.Y.) pushed her opponent to a tight 7-5 opening set before falling 6-2 in the second set at the #5 singles slot.
