  • The Hawks jumped in front early as sophomore Ethan Hunt (Skaneateles, N.Y.) scored. The Leopards answered 38 seconds later to even the score. The Hawks would score the next two as junior Aidan Kemp (South Orange, N.J.) and freshman Gavin Pelletier (Southington, Conn.) each scored over the next two minutes as the lead was 3-1. After Wentworth got its second goal, Kemp scored yet again, but a buzzer beater by Gabe Cobham had the Hawks only leading 4-3 headed into the second quarter.
  • The Leopards evened the score again under a minute into the second. Freshman Shaun Wright (Frederick, Md.) and sophomore Aidan Ezra (New Milford, Conn.) each registered scores, but Wentworth would tally three-straight headed into halftime up 7-6.
  • The Leopards continued to run strong scoring five more times to start the second half to bring the run to 8-0 as the lead for Wentworth expanded to 12-6. Wright got the Hawks back on the board with 2:04 to play in the third quarter, but the home team tallied one more strike to take the seven goal lead with 15 minutes to play.
  • Sophomore Michael Novotny (Cornwall, N.Y.) started a spark as the Hawks would score three in a row with the other two scores to Ezra and Kemp. Now trailing by just three with five minutes to play the Leopards closed things out scoring two clutch goals. Hartford would get a final strike by sophomore Nick Forgione (Denville, N.J.), but the Leopards would hold on for the win.
