WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford softball team dominated in two wins on Wednesday taking down Trinity College in the final home games of the 2025 season.
Rapid Recap Game 1 (W, 6-1):
- The Bantams took the lead in the top of the second on a bases loaded walk, however sophomore Alexis Sealey (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) got out of the jam only allowing a single run. Senior Olivia Wolk (Sugarloaf, Pa.) answered right away with a no-doubter to lead off the inning. Sophomore Bridget Bernard (North Andover, Mass.) added a RBI single, while junior Taylor Fitch (Andover, Conn.) came in to score on an error as the lead was 3-1 after two. In the bottom of the third Wolk was at it again launching a two-run blast this time scoring senior Azya Walker (Oak Forest, Ill.) who doubled to lead off the inning as the lead hit four runs.
- Hartford would tack on one final run in the bottom of the fifth as junior Gia Miccio (Bellmore, N.Y.) got an RBI ground out to score Sealey who doubled to start the frame. Sophomore Alex Hassett (Granby, Conn.) shut down Trinity in the final innings as the Hawks would win 6-1.
In the Circle:
- Sealey got the start going three innings allowing a single run on a hit with two punch outs. Hassett got the win going the remaining four innings with four strikeouts while only allowing three hits.
At The Plate:
- Wolk led the offense going 2-for-3 with two homers and three RBIs, Bernard went 1-for-2, while Sealey and Walker both doubled in the game one win.
Rapid Recap Game 2 (W, 12-4):
- The teams stayed silent through the top of the third inning, but Sealey opened the scoring with a three-run shot over the right field wall. Freshman Lucy Lembo (Albany, N.Y.) added an RBI singled to score freshman Holly Myers (Erving, Mass.). Wolk would add the fifth run coming around via a defensive error. Hartford added an insurance run in the bottom of the fourth as Myers doubled in Sealey as it was 6-0 after four.
- The Bantams got on the board in the top of the sixth getting four runs on four hits and a defensive error. Hartford would bounce back with six runs to put the game away. It started with a Myers two-ribby double. Wolk added a double of her own. Junior Anita Farkash (Seaford, N.Y.) added a RBI with a single to score Wolk. Bernard hit a sacrifice fly before an error ended the game due to mercy rule.
In the Circle:
- Sophomore Gracie Hopkins (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) picked up the win going all six innings allowing three earned runs with five strikeouts.
At The Plate:
- Myers led the offense going 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Farkash went 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI, while Sealey went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBIs, a homer and three runs scored.

"I was just really excited to play in this doubleheader", said senior
Olivia Wolk (Sugarloaf, Pa.). "The three seniors have gone through four years together and it is also special because we are all in the outfield together. We are just such a tight knit group so just getting the sweep means a lot."
