CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - On Monday, the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released its 2024-25 All-American Scholar Team with a pair of Hawks featured. Over 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs recognized with this prestigious honor. The two Hawks named were freshman Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) and freshman Jacqueline Tran (Waterford, Conn.). 

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.

DeBenedetto played in 18 rounds for the Hawks in her freshman season with an average score of 94.1. Gabby ended the year with a regional rank of 141st with 113 wins on the season.

Tran played in 11 rounds for the Hawks in 2024-25 with an average score of 106.5 on the season. Jacqueline ended with a regional ranking of 198th with 16 wins during the season.
