WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Hartford Men's Golf played in the Williams College Fall Invitational at Taconic Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, in a tournament that would see three rounds of action, and teams battling rainy conditions on Sunday. The Hawks would take home ninth place out of 17 teams through three rounds.
Rapid Recap:
- Sophomore Griffin La Londe (Montclair, N.J.) lead the way for the Hawks shooting a 75 (+4) in round one and two, and a 78 (+7) in the third round. Sophomore Tim Kaley (Dalton, Mass.) would place tied for 28th Freshman Luke Olynick (Toronto, Ontario) with Kaley shooting a 77 in the first round (+4) and 77 (+6) in the second and third round. would place tied for 23. Olynick would shoot a 76 (+5) in the opening round, a 74 (+3) in the second round and a 79 (+8) in the final round. Freshman Justin Crossen (Wethersfield, Conn.) would come in 36th shooting a total of 17 over par through three rounds. Sophomore Shawn Amari (Townsend, Mass.) would finish in 76th with a total of 30 over par through three rounds.
- Pomona-Pitzer would take home first place with a combined 25 over par.
- Amherst College's Andre Zhang would take home individual first place.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Hawks would earn 26 birdies through three rounds of contest.
- Olynick would earn an Eagle on the first hole of the second round.
- Hartford would finish a total of 64 over par combined.
