BEVERLY, Mass. - The Hawks traveled to the commonwealth Saturday afternoon in a Conference of New England (CNE) matchup against Endicott College. Where the Gulls of Endicott would defeat Hartford 62-54.

Rapid Recap:
- The Gulls would open scoring early with a 5-0 run to kick off the first quarter, however the Hawks would find their way back into the game taking the lead 13-9 coming off a pair of three pointers from junior Ella Marchesani (Saddle Brook, N.J.). Endicott would crawl back late in the first but not enough to retake the lead as the first quarter would end with the Hawks ahead 16-13.
- The Hawks would build on their lead to open the second with buckets coming from junior Taryn Blevins (St. Louis, MO) and freshman Allie Shenloogian (Park Ridge, N.J.) as they would be up 20-16 in the early goings of the second quarter. Endicott would regain the lead in the later stages of the second period only for a layup from sophomore Mackenzie Hohulin (Plymouth, Mass.) to give Hartford the advantage 27-26 at the end of the first half.
- Both teams would continue to battle back and forth as junior Lauren Sabia (Simsbury, Conn.) would tie the ball game at 29 with a little over eight minutes to play in the third quarter. However, this would spark a big Endicott run as they would score ten unanswered points to put them ahead 39-29. The Hawks would try to chip away at this lead but wou;ld find themselves trailing at the end of the third quarter 48-35.
- In the final period the Hawks would cut into the lead with baskets coming from Sabia, Shenloogian, and Marchesani, as well as a layup from freshman Gabrielle Matthews (Raleigh, N.C.) to bring Hartford within 2 points at 54-56 with a minute and 32 seconds to play in regulation. However this would be where the scoring would stop for Hartford, and Endicott would come out on top 62-54.
Inside the Numbers:
- Sabia would lead the Hawks in scoring with 13 Points (5-11FG, 1-1 3PT, 2-3 FT) to go along with five rebounds, a block, and an assist, with Marchesani following close behind with 12 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3PT, 1-2 FT) to go along with two rebounds and an assist. Shenloogian would also finish with 12 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3PT, 1-1 FT) as well as three rebounds and two steals.
- The Hawks would shoot 22-53 (41.5%) and 6-19 from 3PT range.
- This matchup would see three lead changes as well as the game tied up twice.
- The Hawks would finish with 18 fouls, and three players in foul trouble (Marchesani - 5 , Shenloogian - 4 , Matthews - 3)
