WEYMOUTH, Mass. - The Hartford men's tennis team dropped a Conference of New England (CNE) match on Saturday night falling to Wentworth Institute of Technology by a 4-3 final.

- The Hawks took the doubles point winning in #1 doubles and in #3 doubles. Sophomore Anthony Pomares (Norwich, N.Y.) and freshman Yande Simunyola (Dawsonville, Ga.) would win in the top doubles slot by a 6-2 final. Freshman Thomas Andersen (Berlin, Conn.) and freshman Jared DeGruttola (Auburn, Mass.) would lock in the point winning #3 doubles at a 6-2 final. The Leopard would take the #2 doubles at a 6-2 score.
- In singles play Pomares and DeGruttola would get the other two points for the Hawks in #3 singles and #5 singles. Pomares would win by a 6-3, 6-2 final, while DeGruttola won by a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 score. Andersen in #6 singles was close to helping the Hawks pull out the win just falling in the tie-breaker 6-3 to take the loss against Chris Hu. It came down to sophomore Jake Short (Poughquag, N.Y.) who lost in also the tie-breaker by a 7-5 score in #1 singles as the Leopards closed out the 4-3 win.
