WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District women's basketball teams were announced with three members of the Hartford volleyball team featured.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Women's Basketball Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in at least 90 percent of the institution's contests or started in at least 66 percent of those contests.
The three Hawks making the team are senior
Paige Loughman (Bernardston, Mass.), junior
Kendall Rieman (Chicago, Ill.) and junior
Ava Naszimento (Secaucus, N.J.).
Loughman played in 25 games in her senior season making 18 starts for Hartford. Paige ended the year averaging 2.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game for the Hawks. Loughman's biggest game of the year came on January 17th against Nichols College scoring 11 points on 4-5 from the floor in a 59-56 victory.
Rieman played in 23 games for the Hawks in her junior season with 19 starts in 2025-26. Kendall ended the year averaging 2.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. Rieman's best game from this season came on December 3rd against Western New England University scoring nine points to go with five rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Naszimento rounds out the Hawks being named to the All-District team. Ava ended the 2025-26 season averaging 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season. Naszimento shot 49.6% from the field this season and was named to her first New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) team of the week on January 28th. She was later named a Conference of New England (CNE) All-Conference Second Team selection. This is Ava's second time being named to the All-District team after being named to the team in 2024-25.
