BEVERLY, Mass. - On Tuesday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its men's basketball major award winners and all-conference teams with Hartford men's basketball having two members selected overall.
Junior
Kyle Winters (Corte Madera, Calif.) was named to the CNE All-Conference Second Team, while junior
Jared Similien (Brunswick, Maine) was tabbed to the CNE Community Service Team.
Winters made a huge impact in his first season for the Hawks being named to the All-Conference Second Team. Kyle averaged 15.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for Hartford while averaging 35.8 minutes a night. In conference play he netted 15.3 points a night to go with 5.2 boards and 2.7 assists.
Similien rounded out the Hawks getting awards being named to the Community Service Team. Jared is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a leader for the team in his junior year.
