WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford women's golf team competed at the Trinity/Hartford Spring Invitational this Sunday at the Rockledge Golf Course. The team earned third place with their performance out of a total seven teams.
Rapid Recap:
- Freshman Maris Branyan (Trumbull, Conn.) led the Hawks finishing second overall with an 83 in round one before firing an impressive 79 in round two.
- Freshman Lily Sprister (Rutland, Mass.) took eighth place, carding an 84 in round one and finished with an 89 in round two.
- Graduate student Tessa Susco (Plainville, Conn.) finished 17th overall after round of 90 and 91 in the second.
- Senior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) came in 24th overall, posting a 94 in the first round and a 91 in round two.
- Sophomore Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) rounded out at the scoring five, finishing 28th overall with scores of 98 and 92.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Hawks finished with a two-round total of +125, securing their top three finish.
- Trinity College, co-host to Hartford took first this afternoon finishing the day with a combined +74.
Up Next:
The Hawks will end their season hosting the Hartford Wampanoag Invitational the following Monday, April 27th at the Wampanoag Country Club.
