BOSTON, MA - Hartford Men's Tennis took a trip into the commonwealth to take on Suffolk University on Wednesay. The Hawks would come out ontop against the Rams, winning 5-2.
Inside the Numbers:
- Freshman Max Poss (South Orange, N.J.), sophomore Jake Short (Poughquag, N.Y.), freshman Yande Simunyola (Dawsonville, Ga.) sophomore Anthony Pomares (Norwich, N.Y.), and freshman Jared DeGruttola (Auburn, Mass.) would win in their single matches.
- Poss and Short would win their doubles match 6-3, Pomares and Simunyola would win their doubles match 6-3, and DeGruttola and freshman Eli Benoit (Plainville, Conn.) would win their doubles match 6-4.
Post Match Press:
- Following the match Pomares said " (I) Had a really feel-good win on the road tonight! The lineup was at full strength and came out attacking from the very beginning, immediately breaking on all 3 doubles courts. From there we were able to carry that momentum throughout the entire match and close it comfortably. Happy to do my part at 2-doubles and 4-singles. Go Hawks!"
