WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large teams were announced with sophomore
Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) of the Hartford women's golf team featured.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® and Academic All-District® Teams program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. To be considered for inclusion on the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® At-Large Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or
in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.
DeBenedetto played in all 18 rounds for the Hawks in her sophomore season with an average score of 92.4. Gabby's record on the season was 157-199-5 overall with a 12th place finish in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championships. She ended the season with three-top 10 finishes in her second year.
