LEXINGTON, Ky. - On Thursday, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 Team Academic Awards and Team Academic Honor Roll with the University of Hartford featured.
In total 1,432 collegiate and high school programs earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The Hawks also earned the additional distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20% of GPAs nationally by division. This is the first time Hartford has been featured with this award since the 2018-19 season.
The Hawks would finish with a fall cumulative GPA of 3.72 before ending the spring semester with a 3.68 GPA.
Hartford finished the 2025 season with a 7-16 overall record and will kick off the 2026 season on September 2nd against the University of Saint Joseph under new head coach Johan Dulfer.
