NEW LONDON, N.H. — The Hartford women's tennis team fell to Colby-Sawyer, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon in conference play.

- The Hawks dropped all three doubles matches to open the afternoon. The pairing of graduate student Lia Gosselin (South Bend, Ind.) and junior Victalia Z. Deida (New Haven, Conn.) fell to Maria Espinosa Lopez and Justine Porowski, 6-1, while freshman Isabelle Simino (Franklin, Mass.) and sophomore Maddie Pearlman (New Hampton, N.Y.) were defeated by Sky Jara and Avery Nielsen, 6-1, in doubles. Junior Jessica Marks (Hartford, Conn.) and junior Natalie Lamb (Glastonbury, Conn.) dropped their doubles match, 6-0, to Reese Montstream and Callie Valeri.
- In singles play, Colby-Sawyer continued its strong afternoon by earning straight-set victories in all six matches. Pearlman put together Hartford's closest singles match falling to Porowski, 6-2 and then 6-3. Simino also competed well as she dropped her set 6-2, 6-2 decision to Nielsen. Gosselin fell to Jara, 6-0, 6-0, in singles, while Lamb, Marks and Anna Long each were defeated 6-0, 6-0 by Valeri, Montstream and Matilda Macomber, respectively. With the result, Hartford moves to 0-3 on the season, while Colby-Sawyer improves to 3-0.
