WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its first weekly honor roll in 2026 with Hawks freshman Taylor Freimuth (Terryville, Conn.) took home CNE women's soccer rookie of the week honors.

Freimuth would score three-times in her two matches while Hartford would go 1-0-1 in their first two games. In the opening match against Montclair State, Freimuth scored the Hawks second goal as she capitalized on a mistake by a Montclair State defender as she scored her first collegiate goal. In the Hawks second game of the season against Emmanuel with the Hawks down 1-0 Freimuth would equalize for the Hawks on a breakaway through ball from freshman Tessa Mulvey (Arlington, Mass.). Freimuth would complete her brace in a very similar way this time from a through ball from sophomore Anastasia Nerney (Glocester, R.I.). Freimuth was a four time all state player in high school and she burst onto the scene picking up right where she left off in High School.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday September 9th and 6 P.M. at Al Marzook Field as they are set to take on Springfield College.
