WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Tuesday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced it's weekly honor roll for the first time of the 2026 season with Hawks freshman
Calla McCombs (Bloomfield, N.Y.) being named CNE Volleyball Rookie of the Week after her performances in her first three matches.
Over the three matches McCombs has led the Hawks in points with 46.5 and kills with 35 on a kill percentage of .295%. McCombs best performance of the week was in the season opener against the University of Saint Joseph. Despite the loss McCombs had 17 kills over five sets as well as adding 15 digs. In the Hawks tri-match on Saturday, McCombs racked up eight kills on 23 attempts with just one error against Albertus Magnus and 10 kills on 25 attempts with two errors in the win against Salem State.
Calla and the Hawks will be back in action On Tuesday September 8th against Regis and then they return home for a Friday night in state clash against Eastern Connecticut State.
