Made 15 appearance on the mound as a freshman, including six starts … got his first collegiate start in the third game of the year against Oregon State (3.6.11) … finished the season with a 7.65 ERA allowing 39 runs, 34 earned, on 51 hits over a total of 40.0 innings of work … saw his only victory come as a complete game shutouts against Fairleigh Dickinson (5.11.11), allowing just two hits and striking out five batters … followed that up with a career-high six strikeouts in his next outing, a 6.1 innings relief appearance against Maine (5.15.11) … finished eight relief appearances with a 1.80 ERA allowing just three earned runs on 11 hits in 15 innings of work … also struck out 17 players in that stretch … named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll after achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher as a freshman.
