Named to the America East All-Rookie Team … logged time in all 15 games, making starts in all but one as the faceoff specialist … tallied six points on five goals and an assist … notched his first career point on a goal in a 15-14 overtime loss to Holy Cross (Feb. 25) … contributed one goal in a 20-6 victory at Brown (Mar. 7) … had a .468 winning percentage on face-off opportunities (127-of-271), ranking second on the team … went 16-of-29 inside of the face-off circle and netted one goal against Siena (Mar. 14) … followed that effort by going 18-of-28 at the face-off X in a 15-12 triumph over Quinnipiac (Mar. 17) … named the America East Rookie of the Week on Mar. 19 after combining for a .596 winning percentage and 10 ground balls against Siena and Quinnipiac … won all but four faceoffs (15-of-19), snagged a career-high nine ground balls, and scored one goal against Wagner (Mar. 24) … against Binghamton, was 13-of-21 in faceoffs to lead the team to an 11-7 victory (Apr. 14) … ranked third on the team in ground balls (54).
BEFORE HARTFORD
A two-sport athlete at Yorktown High School where he played both lacrosse and football … played three years of lacrosse for the Huskers where he amassed 96 goals and 28 assists for 124 career points while leading the team to a pair of New York Section I Class A championships in 2009 and 2011 … led the team in goals (48) and ground balls (70) as a senior in 2011 … tabbed a United States Lacrosse All-American in 2011 and was also named MSG All-Area Second Team that season, a squad that consists of players from the tri-state area … high school team advanced to the Class A state semifinals that season and finished the campaign ranked 29th national in Laxpower’s listings … also was a two-year member of Yorktown’s football team … helped the Huskers to a Bowl championship in 2011.
