Biography

AT HARTFORD
2025: Smith was a solid right-hander out of the bullpen during his sophomore season for the Hawks. He appeared in 13 games, posting a 0-1 record with a 7.71 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP over 18.2 innings pitched. Smith struck out 12 batters while allowing 17 hits and 16 earned runs. Defensively he recorded one putout and three assists with a  1.000 fielding percentage. He posted a season high three strikeout game in a 7-4 win against Gordon on April 27th.

2024: Smith appeared in seven games, including three starts, pitching 15 innings with a 2-2 record, an 8.40 ERA, and a 2.53 WHIP. He allowed 21 hits, 17 runs (14 earned), walked 17 batters, and struck out nine. 

PRIOR TO HARTFORD: Graduate of Branford High School, where Smith was an All-State, team captain and team MVP.
