Hartford Soccer Academy Day Camps

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. –
University of Hartford men’s soccer coach Tom Poitras and his Hartford Soccer Academy announced that they will be hosting a trio of summer camps in 2012. Two of the camps are day camps for both boys and girls between the ages of 5-13 while the Elite Academy is designed for high school aged boys (14-18) who aspire to play soccer in college.

The staff for all three camps will consist of University of Hartford men’s soccer coaches and staff as well as coaches and players from other local colleges.

The first of Poitras’ day camps will kick-off on June 25 and will conclude on June 29 and is open to both boys and girls between the ages of five and 15. Held at Recreation Park in Southington, the camp consists of two programs: the Challenge Program and the Young Kickers Program. The second day camp, which takes play on July 9-13, will be held at Alumni Stadium on the University’s campus and will also feature the Challenge Program and the Young Kickers Program.

The Challenge Program runs from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with two sessions. Session one is dedicated to improving individual technical skills and the second session is dedicated to improving tactical awareness.

The Young Kickers Program is a half-day program specially designed for 5-7 year old children. The program, which is offered from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., is an introduction to soccer in a fun learning environment.

Hartford Soccer Academy Elite Camp

ELITE CAMP FORM

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -
The Elite Academy, a two-day clinic held on July 21 and 22, is designed for high school aged boys between the ages of 14-18 who aspire to play to take their college game to the next level, with a focus on individual techniques, positional play and tactical awareness. The camp is very demanding and players should arrive at camp fit and healthy to perform at their best.
