AT HARTFORD
2026: Novotny had a stellar junior season for the Hawks being named to the CNE All-Conference 2nd Team and was also named the Hartford Male Athlete of the Year. Michael finished his season as the teams leading point scorer with 60 overall points on the season on 40 goals and 20 assists. Novotny added 24 grounders and eight caused turnovers. Novotny recorded a career-high eight points on six goals and two assists in a 20-4 victory at Johnson & Wales University on March 25th. He added a seven point game on April 4th against Curry College in a huge win. Novotny made a NEILA Team of the Week on March 30th. 

2025: Novotny appeared in all 17 games for the Hawks during his sophomore season, starting each contest. He led the team with 32 goals and added seven assists for a total of 39 points, along with 18 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Michael recorded his first collegiate goal just 1:14 into the season opener on February 14th against Western Connecticut State University. He delivered a standout performance on March 8th, tallying five goals in a 14-4 victory over Western Connecticut State University. On April 5th, Novotny notched a hat trick in a 13-3 win against Gordon College. He also scored a pivotal goal on April 19th, giving Hartford a 9-7 lead in an eventual 13-11 win over Western New England University. For his outstanding performance throughout the season, Michael was named to the 2025 CNE All-Conference Third Team.

2024: Novotny made a lone appearance in his freshman year. 

PRIOR TO HARTFORD: Graduate of Cornwall Central High School, where Novotny was a First Team All-Conference selection and a two-time team captain.
