AT HARTFORD
2025: Costa returned as a midfielder in 2025, playing in all 19 games. She had 12 goals and three assists, for a total of 15 points with a .649 SOG%. One of her standout performances came on April 5th against Gordan where she had two goals on five shots on goal. Defensively, she had 34 ground ball pickups, 12 caused turnovers and 29 draw controls. She was later named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All District Team.

2024: Costa played 14 games for the Hawks in 2024 making 13 starts on the season. Sara finished the year with 16 goals and five assists to go with 17 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Costa had her biggest game of the season on April 24th scoring four times in a 21-6 victory. Sara added three goals and an assist on March 16th against Husson University in a 17-6 win. 

2023: Costa started all 11 games for the Hawks in her first season. Sara ended the year with 11 goals and two assists to go with nine grounders. Costa netted her first collegiate hat-trick on March 15th against Emerson College in a 20-15 win.

PRIOR TO HARTFORD: Graduate of Lakeland High School, where Costa was an All-League selection for lacrosse and field hockey, a team captain and an All-Section honorable mention in lacrosse. Sara was a field hockey state champion, 2020 Putnam Northern Westchester Regional field hockey champion and a regional runner-up.
