Allison Saucier enters her third season as an assistant coach for the Hartford women’s soccer team in 2018. A former member of the women’s soccer team at UConn, Saucier joined the Hawks’ staff in 2016, helping lead the program to its third-straight America East Regular Season title that season.
Working primarily with the Hawks’ goalkeepers while serving as the team’s fitness director, Saucier led 2017 graduate Jessica Jurg to her second of back-to-back America East Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 2016. Under Saucier’s guidance, Jurg recorded a 0.93 goals-against average and ranked No. 27 in the nation in shutouts after leading the America East with nine in her final season.
At UConn, Saucier was a four-year member of the women's soccer team, where she logged time in 35 matches between the posts as a goalkeeper. A team captain for the Huskies as a senior in 2015, she finished her final season with a 0.53 goals-against average and .750 save percentage in four appearances. Saucier contributed to a pair of shutouts, one of which came against Siena in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
Saucier enjoyed a tremendously successful junior season in 2015, making starts in 21 matches while finishing with a 0.98 GAA and .761 save percentage. She held an 8-3-2 record and helped the Huskies post 10 shutouts that season en route to earning American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team laurels.
Saucier began her coaching career with the Oakwood Soccer Club out of Glastonbury, Conn., an organization that she currently remains involved with. At Oakwood, she is the head coach of both the youth premier teams and the youth training league. Saucier is also the head goalkeeper coach and speed director of the Girls Developmental Academy.
Saucier graduated from UConn in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Science in exercise science, with a concentration in strength and conditioning. As an undergraduate, she worked as a strength/sports performance intern for 14 weeks under the supervision of Coach Maureen Butler.
