Biography

AT HARTFORD:
2025: Opdenbrouw appeared and started in all 20 games for the Hawks during her senior season. Across her 1,504 minutes, Rebecca tallied 38 points, 14 goals, and 10 assists. The Hartford offense flowed through Opdenbrouw the entire season, most notably against Wentworth Institute of Technology on October 25th, when she scored two goals and added two assists. This stellar performance led to her being named the Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week. She would end up leading the CNE in all major offensive stats (points, goals, and assists) en route to being named the CNE Offensive Player of the Year and having a spot on the All-Conference First Team. The recognition would not just stop at the Conference level, though, as Rebecca would end up being named as an NCAA Division III 4th Team All-American.

2024: Opdenbrouw appeared in all 21 of Hartford’s games in her junior season, starting in 20 and recording 1,334 minutes of game time. Rebecca scored five goals and logged eight assists, including a two-goal performance in Hartford’s 6-0 win over Gordon College in the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship Game on November 6th. Opdenbrouw recorded 90 minutes in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament, tallying one assist and two shots on goal. She was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women’s Soccer Academic All-District Team.
 
2023: Opdenbrouw appeared in 18 games in her sophomore season, making her first collegiate start on October 4th against Eastern Nazarene. Rebecca recorded seven goals and four assists in her sophomore season. Opdenbrouw scored her first collegiate goal on September 1st against Saint Joseph’s (Conn.) On September 23rd, Opdenbrouw would have a career day, recording two assists—including her first collegiate assist—and two goals in Hartford’s 6-3 victory over Gordon College. Opdenbrouw’s second goal of the contest would be her first collegiate game-winning goal. Opdenbrouw earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Academic Honors.
 
2022: Opdenbrouw appeared in seven games in her freshman season, making her collegiate debut on August 19th against Stonehill College. Opdenbrouw logged 85 minutes of game time during her first year in Hartford.
 
PRIOR TO HARTFORD: Opdenbrouw attended Rockville High School for four years, tallying 42 career goals. Opdenbrouw earned All-Conference honors in her first three seasons at Rockville. In her sophomore season, Opdenbrouw was named Most Valuable Player. Opdenbrouw earned All-State honors in her junior season, before being named a team captain for her senior year. Opdenbrouw played club soccer for Northeast United.
