Aaliyah Walker was a standout track and field athlete at Central Connecticut State University, known for her exceptional performances in the triple jump. In the 2023 outdoor season, she excelled by winning the triple jump at both the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational (10.75 meters) and the Blue Devil Invitational (11.15 meters). Her remarkable jump of 11.96 meters at the NEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships not only earned her a bronze medal but also set a new CCSU program record. She contributed to CCSU’s fifth-place finish in the 4x400m relay and closed the season with a strong performance at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, where she leaped 10.72 meters.
Throughout her career, Aaliyah has demonstrated impressive versatility and dedication. In the 2022-23 indoor season, she placed sixth in the triple jump at the NEC Indoor Championships with a mark of 11.40 meters and played a crucial role in helping her team secure their second consecutive Northeast Conference title. Her 2021 season saw personal bests in the long jump (5.27 meters) and triple jump (10.71 meters), with top-10 finishes at the Northeast Conference Championships. Aaliyah’s commitment to both athletics and academics is further highlighted by her inclusion on the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll. Her personal records in the 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump, along with her consistent performance at the NEC Championships, underscore her role as a key asset to the CCSU track and field team.
