Katy Henchy enters her second season as a member of the Hartford volleyball team’s coaching staff in 2019. A former standout for the Hawks from 2014-17, she was brought on as a student assistant prior to the 2018 campaign.
Henchy capped off an impressive career at Hartford by earning a spot on the America East All-Academic Team in 2017. An outside hitter Ventura, Calif., her name is etched in the program’s rally-scoring record book as she ranks in the top-five in both block assists and blocks per set. In addition, Henchy combined for four America East weekly awards during her career, including three Rookie of the Week honors in 2014.
A four-time America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll member, Henchy graduated from Hartford in 2018 with a degree in communication.
