WEST HARTFORD, Conn – The University of Hartford volleyball team picked up their second conference win of the season defeating UMass Lowell on Friday evening (25-20, 25-21,25-16). The Hawks were led by senior outside hitter Sareeta Nethersole, extending her double-double streak to six with 11 kills and 11 digs.
Nethersole led the Hawks attack with 11 kills on 27 attempts with one error for a .370 hitting percentage. Freshman Katy Henchy added eight kills while senior Kathryn Gawrych finished with a .455 hitting percentage with six kills. Senior setter Jackie Tamburri added to the offense assisting on 25 of the 38 Hawk kills.
Defensively, the Hawks combined for seven blocks led by sophomore Rachel Moll with three block assists and one solo block. Nethersole finished with 11 digs for her 14th double-double while Tamburri added10 to the Hawks 44 total.

· The Hawks went on a 15-5 run to end the set.
· Senior Kathryn Gawrych led the offense with four kills on five attempts for a .800 hitting percentage.
· Nethersole and Henchy added four kills apiece at the net.
· Tamburri had 12 assists and led the defense in digs with four.
· As a team, the Hawks saw their best offense with a .324 hitting percentage with 15 kills on 37 attempts with three errors.

· Nethersole and Henchy combined for six kills at the net.
· Tamburri, Horanzy, and Llerandi added three digs apiece to the Hawks defense.
· The Hawks held the lead throughout the set.
SET THREE
· As a team, the Hawks played their best defense tallying 17 digs and three blocks.
· Nethersole led the attack with four kills on nine attempts for a .444 hitting percentage.
· Horanzy added a .667 hitting percentage with two kills.
· Freshman Astrid Mangual added seven assists along with a 1.000 hitting percentage on one kill.
