Box Score BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore guard
Taylor Dyson scored 13 points, but it wasn't enough for the University of Hartford men's basketball team as it fell on the road at Vermont, 72-47, on Sunday afternoon. Snapping a season-best four-game win-streak, the Hawks dip to 8-6 in the America East (14-15 overall) while the Catamounts improve to 19-9 with a 13-1 mark in league action.

Wes Cole rounded out Hartford's top-scorers, chipping in with eight and six points, respectively.
The two teams battled to a 24-24 draw at the half, but the Catamounts got hot in the second, rattling-off a decisive 20-4 run to take a 13 point lead (46-33) with 11:45 left to play. During that six minute span, the home team caught fire, going 6-of-7 with a pair of threes to take its first double-digit lead. Vermont kept the pedal to the metal, shooting 64.0 percent (16-of-25) in the second to stretch its advantage to as many as 29 late in the stanza.
After going 10-of-24 (41.7%) from the floor and 4-of-9 from three-point land to start, the Hawks struggled to convert in the second. Making just one of its 11 second-half three-point attempts, Hartford wound up making just 6-of-25 (24.0%) in the period, a season-low, to finish at 32.7 percent, its lowest performance this year.

Hartford had a strong start to the game and held a 7-5 lead early. The Catamounts responded, though, scoring seven unanswered points to take a 12-7 advantage. With 3:37 left in the first, Vermont held a six-point lead, but the Hawks scored seven of the final eight points of the half to get back in the game. A baseline jumper by Nwakamma in the closing seconds tied up the score at 24-all at the intermission.
Four Catamounts scored in double figures led by 17 points from both Carissimo and Rusin. The duo combined for 29 points in the second half.
