THE LEAD:Lexi Wilkerson pitched a tremendous game, allowing only two hits, but Lehigh scored three unearned runs in the top of the seventh to knock off the Hartford softball team 3-0 on Wednesday.

Wilkerson did not allow a hit until the top of the sixth inning, finishing with two strikeouts in seven innings of work. Emily Sorem countered her with a solid performance in the circle for the Mountain Hawks, scattering four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.

Four different Hawks scattered hits, including a double each by
Sawyer Fried and
Danielle DeMarco. Vicky Lattanzio delivered the only RBI of the contest, a single in the top of the seventh.
HOW THEY SCORED:• Wilkerson worked her way out of danger in the first, with an error and two walks loading the bases, before the senior got out unscathed.
• The Hawks had runners in scoring position in each of the first three innings, including two on and one out in the third, but Sorem shook them off with a popout and a flyout.
• Carolyn Wright broke up Wilkerson's no-hitter with one out in the sixth on a single to left field.
• The Mountain Hawks scored two of their three runs in the seventh with two outs, as two errors, a walk and a single did the damage.
• DeMarco led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and
Marisa Ferguson later drew a walk, but Sorem got the last two batters to finish off the game.
