THE LEAD:
Chris Sullivan became the 15
th player in school history to post a five-hit game, as his 5-for-6 day led the Hartford baseball team to an 11-5 win over Quinnipiac on Tuesday. Every member of the Hawks lineup hit safely in the contest, as the team totaled a season-best 19 hits.

Sullivan drove in three runs to lead the Hawks in that category, while
Ben Bengtson went 2-for-4 and drove in two as well.
Chris DelDebbio went 2-for-5 and scored three runs in the victory. Robert Pescitelli had a 3-for-5 day in the loss for the Bobcats.

Justin Robarge collected the win in relief for the Hawks, while
Justin Cashman had a solid start with eight hits and two earned runs allowed in four innings of work.
Seth Pinkerton had a pair of scoreless innings for Hartford as well. Andrew Workman was carded for the loss for Quinnipiac after surrendering five runs in 2 1/3 innings.
HOW THEY SCORED:
• Hartford started quickly, with DelDebbio opening the scoring as his RBI double plated
Aaron Wilson for a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
• After an
Erik Ostberg RBI groundout, Sullivan made it a 3-0 lead with a single up the middle to plate DelDebbio.
• Bengtson made it 4-0 in the first with a double to right center to plate Sullivan.
• Quinnipiac got on the board with a single run on three hits in the second, leaving the bases loaded.
• The Hawks made it 5-1 when T.J. Ward doubled home Sullivan in the top of the third.
• In the fourth, the Hawks plated three more, one on a Sullivan RBI single and the other two on an error by the QU shortstop, to push the lead to 8-1.
• Quinnipiac cut the lead to 8-3 with two runs on three hits and an error in the bottom of the fourth and then made it 8-4 on an RBI groundout in the fifth.
• Pinkerton kept the score there into the seventh, when a Sullivan RBI single and a wild pitch pushed the lead to 10-4.
• The Hawks added an insurance run on an error in the eighth before the Bobcats closed the scoring on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning.
• The game was called after eight innings due to darkness.
UP NEXT:
Hartford heads to the Capital District for a three-game series at UAlbany over the weekend. Hartford Âsits in third place in the America East at 8-7 in league play, while the Great Danes are fifth with a 5-7 mark. The Hawks took two of three from the Great Danes in the first meeting of the two teams.
