Hartford then finished things off with a Katy Henchy kill and an SBU error to take the first.
• Stony Brook got out to an early lead in the second, and never looked back en route to a 25-7 victory.
• In the third, Hartford got out to a 5-2 lead early on following a Nash kill, but Stony Brook rebounded to knot things up at 6-6. From there, the teams traded points to a 13-13 score, but the Seawolves gained momentum and got an 18-16 advantage before finishing the set on a 7-0 run to take a 2-1 lead.
• The Seawolves got out to an early edge in the fourth, but the Hawks were able to battle back to tie things up at six. Stony Brook rallied once again for a 15-12 advantage, but Hartford battled back to draw even, with a Bridges kill making it 15-all.
