Recently, rising junior forward John Carroll of the men's basketball team got the opportunity to spend time with the Irish National Team in international competition. The junior stopped by to talk to HartfordHawks.com about his experience.



Carroll played with the senior men's squad at several events, including the Celtic Clash. His finest performance came against Luxembourg, where he delivered 27 points for Ireland.

Last year with the Hawks, Carroll played in 23 games with 17 starts, averaging 6.4 points per game after battling his way back from a knee injury that cut short his 2015-16 season. He also finished second on the team in rebounds a year ago, with 4.4 caroms per contest.
