THE LEAD:
Led by a season-high six Hawks in double figures, the University of Hartford men's basketball team defeated Maine, 86-68, in Bangor on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Maine started out with the hot hand, netting the game's first 11 points in the first three minutes. The Hawks quickly responded to the slow start, though, going on a 26-11 run to take the lead with 7:39 remaining in the opening half on a Hobbs three. Both teams went back and forth in the final six minutes of the half, and the Hawks took a 38-33 lead into the locker room.
- Hartford came out roaring in the second half, scoring 10 unanswered points as part of a 20-2 run in the opening seven minutes to take a 56-35. The Hawks continued to extend their lead for the remainder of the game, going up by as many as 24 points with 1:44 remaining to take the 86-68 decision.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS & NOTES:
- The Hawks owned the advantage from behind the arc, draining 11 three-pointers to Maine's five. Hartford also outscored Maine from the free-throw line with an 11-7 advantage.
- Additionally, Hartford held the rebounding advantage (37-31).
- With one block, senior Hassan Attia recorded the 100th of his career. Attia currently ranks third in the all-time blocks list.
- Blagojevic scored his 500th career point with his 11-point performance. He went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field as Hartford shot 56 percent on the night.
- Hobbs hit double figures for the third time this season and the first time since Hartford's victory against Miami (OH) on Nov. 19.
- Carroll and Dunne each recorded their 18th double-figure scoring game of the season.
- The Hawks have scored 80-plus points in six games so far this season.
