GAME ONE:
- The Hawks found them in a two-run hole early on, as South Alabama scored off a run in the first and third innings off a pair of RBI doubles from Brendan Donovan.
- Hartford stayed resilient, though, and tied the game up at two in the sixth inning as junior Chris Sullivan ripped a double to center field to open the inning and was later driven in by an RBI double down the left field line by Thrasher. Thrasher scored later that inning off a Jaguars throwing error.
- The game remained tied until the bottom of the eighth when South Alabama scored three runs off three hits and a Hartford error to take the 6-3 decision.
GAME TWO:
- Travis Swaggerty opened the game with a bang for the Jaguars, hitting a two-run, RBI double to open the game.
- The Hawks started to chip away at the South Alabama lead in the second frame as redshirt-junior Cam Belliveau drove in Bryce Walker, to cut the Jaguars lead to, 2-1.
- Hartford drew even with the Jaguars in the top of the third inning, as Ashton Bardzell scored off a wild pitch from Caleb Yarborough.
- South Alabama quickly retook control in the bottom third inning, scoring off a Will Luft RBI double to right field. The Jaguars tacked on three runs in the fourth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth, taking a 9-2 lead into the night inning.
- The Hawks didn't go out quietly as Bardzell doubled to left with two outs, driving in Thrasher but the Hawks comeback bid fell short as South Alabama took the 9-3 decision.
