Junior
Ashton Bardzell led the way for the Hawks, going 3-for4 on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman pitcher James Judenis and Northeastern pitcher Sean Mellen kept the scoreboard cleans for the first three and a half innings before Jake Farrell laced a solo homer to right field to put the Huskies up 1-0.
- Northeastern added two more runs in the sixth inning, scoring both off walks to take a 3-0 advantage.
- The Hawks wouldn't go away, though. After working a full count in the seventh, junior Drew Holtgrieve ripped a double to right field. Sophomore Trevor Thompson quickly drove Holtgrieve in off a grounder to short. The Hawks threatened in the ninth, as Bardzell led off with a single up the middle, advancing to third but the Hawks were unable to capitalize.
