The University of Hartford women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-1 decision at UMass Lowell in America East action on Saturday. Kaylan DiModugno led nine River Hawks' goal scorers with four tallies.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- DiModugno scored each of UMass Lowell's first three goals of the game to help the River Hawks jump out to an early lead.
- UMass Lowell tacked on eight more scores before the end of the first to take an 11-0 advantage into the break.
- The run continued into the second half, as the River Hawks went up by 13 before junior Billy McLaughlin put Hartford on the board with 24:22 remaining.
- UMass Lowell ended the game with three-unanswered goals to take the 16-1 decision.

- Courtney Barrett earned the win for the River Hawks, making two saves during the game's first 30 minutes.
- Freshman Cassidy Hock registered four saves in net over the first 41:45. In relief, Danielle DeMarco came away with one stop.
- McLaughlin improved her team-leading goal total to 12 with the Hawks' lone goal.
- Hartford had a solid performance on draw controls with a 12-7 advantage. Freshman Emily Steele registered five draw controls to pace the Hawks, while senior Caroline Massey added four.
- UMass Lowell held advantages in shots (32-4) and ground balls (23-9).
