HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks go on the board first as senior TJ Ward led off the second inning with a single through the left side, later being driven in by sophomore Robert Carmody putting the Hawks up 1-0.
- The Great Danes posted two runs off three hits in the fourth innings to take a 2-1 lead, before sophomore Bryce Walker blasted a two-run homer to left, his fourth home run of the season, to put the Hawks back ahead, 3-2.
- A UAlbany leadoff solo homer run in the seventh knotted the game up at 3, and it would remain that way through regulation.
- It would take until the eleventh inning before the Hawks broke the tie. Senior Nick Campana left off the inning by singling to left and Walker followed up with a single up the middle. Bardzell ripped the go-ahead RBI double to center, scoring Campana.
- Ward, sophomore Jackson Olson, and junior Drew Holdgrieve all laced RBI singles, to extend the Hawks lead to 7-3.
