BURLINGTON, Vt. —The Hartford women's soccer team remained unbeaten in America East action on Thursday, as the Hawks scored a 1-1 draw at Vermont at Virtue Field. With the tie, the Hawks (8-1-2), who are unbeaten in their past seven matches, move to 1-0-1 in America East action, while the Catamounts (3-5-3) also remain unbeaten in conference games at 1-0-1.

HARTFORD 1, VERMONT 1 (2ot)
  • Junior Kaila Lozada provided the Hawks with an early advantage in the 10th minute, getting her head on a cross from classmate Skylar Vitiello for her fourth goal of the season.

  • Senior Ashley Claud had a chance to end the game in regulation, but Vermont keeper Lydia turned the shot away with 41 seconds left.
  • The Hawks held a 2-1 advantage in shots during the two overtime periods, but neither team was able to capitalize.
  • Sophomore Maia Perez registered four saves between the posts for the Hawks, while Kessel also had four stops for Vermont.
