WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford women's soccer scored the final two goals of the game to defeat LIU Brooklyn, 4-2, on Al-Marzook Field. Four different Hawks recorded goals in the contest for the Hawks, who extended their season-best winning streak to four matches with the victory.

- LIU Brooklyn drew blood first on a Kimberly Butland tally in the 12th minute before senior Bridgette Alexander made it a new match after heading in her fourth goal of the season in the 23rd minute.
- A penalty kick in the 55th minute by junior Kaila Lozada provided the Hawks with their first lead of the match, but the Blackbirds answered less than five minutes later to tie things up for the second time.
- A pair of set pieces in the 65th and 79th minutes allowed Hartford to regain its advantage. Sophomore Gabriela Gamory headed in the go-ahead tally on a corner kick by Julia Carr before senior Hayley Nolan tacked on an insurance tally with a header on a Samantha Nelbach corner kick.
HARTFORD NOTES
- Gamory improved her team-best goal total to five with the go-ahead tally, which marked her second game-winner of the season.
- Hartford evens the all-time series with LIU Brooklyn to 2-2.
- The Hawks's 6-1 record marks the team's best start since 2011, when Hartford went 6-0-1 through its first seven matches.
