NORTHEASTERN 1, HARTFORD 1
The Hawks would waste no time to get the action started as Rasmus Karlsson would score the games opening goal in the 4th minute. After intercepting a back pass, the junior would easily round the Northeastern goalkeeper and slot the ball into the back of the net to give Hartford the early advantage. The Huskies responded fast as Liam Murphy found the back of the net in the 12th minute to tie the game up at one. Northeastern would continue to pile on the pressure soon after, but were denied by senior goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton, who made two terrific saves to keep the score levelled. Karlsson had another great chance later on in the half as his 25th minute header would rattle off the crossbar. Northeastern would outshoot Hartford, 8-5, in the first half.
