STONY BROOK 0, HARTFORD 1
Hartford started off the game fast as Rasmus Karlsson saw his 4th minute shot saved by the Stony Brook goalkeeper. The Hawks would continue to pile on the pressure as they rattled off a pair of shots within the opening ten minutes of the game, but could not find the back of the net. The rest of the opening 45 minutes was a battle of the midfield as neither team could get a great scoring opportunity as the teams headed into the halftime break tied at 0-0. The Hawks outshot Stony Brook, 3-2, in the first half.

Hartford would start the second half just as fast as quick as the first as Pablo Basarte saw his shot be blocked, three minutes into the second half. Play would quiet down again as the next best chance came in the 62nd minute when Sergi Martinez saw his shot be saved to keep the score levelled at 0-0. Both teams would fire off more shots as the half went on, with Stony Brook having their best chance of the game in the 80th minute as Jimmy Slayton was called into action for the first time to easily keep the Seawolves off the scoreboard. Benjamin would be the hero for the Hawks as he put Hartford ahead in the 85th minute with a low driven shot into the left corner. The Hawks defense would stand strong and prevent an equalizer as they held on for the 1-0 win.
