DURHAM, N.H. — Jenna Bridges, Maddie Lindsay and Abby Nash combined for 41 kills, but the Hartford volleyball team fell in three sets at New Hampshire on Friday. The Hawks (11-9) dip to 3-2 in the America East, while the Wildcats (13-5) move to 3-1 in league action.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 3, HARTFORD 0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-20)
  • SET ONE: The Hawks took an early advantage, but an 8-0 Wildcats' run proved to be the deciding factor, as it provided the home team with a 15-8 cushion. Hartford would pull within three (21-18) late in the set on a 4-1 run featuring a pair of Lindsay kills, but UNH finished strong to take the win.
  • SET TWO: Hartford raced out to take a five-point lead to open the second set. Pushing ahead, 11-6, the Hawks continued to hold on to the edge at 16-14, until a furious 7-1 run gave the Wildcats control of the set at 21-17. UNH would score four of the final six points to take the second set, 25-20.
  • SET THREE: Back-and-forth action in the third set resulted in several ties, before UNH broke open a 12-12 game with a 7-1 run to take the lead. The Hawks made a furious comeback bid, though, pulling within one on a 5-0 run featuring a pair of UNH errors and two kills from Bridges. But the Wildcats finished strong, using a 6-2 run to seal the match.
  • HARTFORD NOTES & HIGHLIGHTS: Nash led three Hawks with double-digit kills with 17, a match-high, while Lindsay and Bridges added 14 and 10, respectively … Lindsay also had a solid defensive outing, adding 11 digs for a double-double … sophomore Megan Anderson dished out 38 assists.
