Lozada's OT Goal Propels Women's Soccer to 2-1 Win at UMBC

BALTIMORE, Md. — Senior Kaila Lozada found the back of the net in the 107th minute to lead the Hartford women's soccer team to a pivotal 2-1 victory at UMBC. The Hawks (8-6-1), who have won five of their past six, improve to 5-2-0 in conference play, while the Retrievers (2-12-2) move to 1-6 in the America East.

Senior Skylar Vitiello connected on a feed from junior Gabriela Gamory just 23 seconds before halftime to give the Hawks a lead at the break. Hartford held off the Retrievers, until Nikki Saad found the back of the net for the equalizer with less than nine minutes remaining in regulation.
 
Lozada, who saw the lone shot attempt of the first extra session, capitalized later in the second overtime, as her fourth goal of the season propelled the Hawks to victory with 3:14 left in the match.
