WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior
Dylan Jinks had a career day on Saturday, but it wasn't enough for the Hartford men's lacrosse team, as St. John's took an 18-10 decision on Al-Marzook Field. Jinks tied a program record with eight goals, adding an assist for a game-best nine points.
Hartford dips to 0-1, while St. John's, which was led by five goals from Jonathan Huber, improves to 1-1 on the season.

St. John's came out of the gates firing, scoring the first seven goals of the game within the first 10 minutes
. But the Hawks responded with six scores of their own, the first five of which came from Jinks. The Red Storm closed off the half with a pair of goals to take a 9-6 lead into the locker room.
St. John's rally continued out of the break, as it netted the first four goals of the third to extend its lead to 13-6 with 7:15 left in the stanza. Jinks and
Ty Thompson would close the gap down to five (13-8) late in the third, but the Red Storm scored five of the final seven goals to seal the win.
