HARTFORD 70, NEW HAMPSHIRE 50
Holding the Wildcats scoreless for the first four minutes, the Hawks ran out to a 19-3 lead with 10:47 remaining in the first half behind a balanced offensive attack. Five-straight points by redshirt-senor
John Carroll helped Hartford push the lead to 23 (34-11) with 3:07 remaining in the stanza, before UNH made a run before halftime, closing the gap down to 16 (35-19) at the break.
Nick Guardarrama carried a hot first half into the second, as his fifth three in as many attempts pulled UNH within 13 with 17:52 left. But back-to-back threes from Lynch — who finished 4-for-4 from long range — and classmate
Travis Weatherington quickly pushed the margin back to 19 with 15:12 to go. The Wildcats would not come any closer than 15 for the remainder of the game, as a 10-2 run capped by a
Michael Dunne triple gave Hartford its largest lead at 68-44 with just over two minutes left to play.
