ROCKVILLE, Md. –Hartford baseball completed the three-game sweep of Georgetown, scoring four runs in the third inning for the, 4-2, victory Sunday afternoon.
Redshirt-senior,
Sebastian DiMauro earned his first win of the season on the mound, as the Hawks improve to 5-11 overall. Graduate student, Kyle Ruedisili, registered the Hoyas' lone RBI, as Georgetown fell to 6-18 on the year.

The Hawks did all of their damage in the third inning, starting with a RBI single by junior
Zachary Ardito, plating freshman
Devin Kellogg. Hartford continued to take advantage of the bases load opportunity, as seniors
Chris Sullivan and
Ashton Bardzell and junior
Nik Pagan each had RBI singles, giving Hartford the 4-0 cushion.
The Hoyas managed to get two runs back in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 4-2. Georgetown threatened in the bottom of the ninth, putting its leadoff runner on and bringing the tying run to the plate, but freshman
Will Nowak entered the game and shut the door, securing his first save of the season and the 4-2 victory for the Hawks.

- DiMauro (1-0) pitched five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and struck out five
- After dropping its first 10 games of the season, Hartford has now won five if its last six games, including two America East victories over UAlbany
- Sullivan finished the weekend batting .545 (6-11) with six RBI, three runs scored and two doubles
- The Hawks' pitching was dominant during the three-game series, recording a 0.67 ERA while holding the Georgetown lineup to a .153 batting average
