BOSTON — Four members of the Hartford men's basketball team combined to earn five All-Conference honors, the America East announced on Friday. 
 
Highlighting the list of honorees was senior J.R. Lynch, who was named to the America East All-Conference First Team. It marks Hartford's first, First Team member since Mark Nwakamma took home the award for the second straight year in 2014.
 
Seniors George Blagojevic and John Carroll were each Second Team All-Conference selections, while classmate Jason Dunne earned a spot on the All-Conference Third Team. Rounding out the postseason award winners was Blagojevic, who garnered America East All-Academic Team honors.
 
Lynch, a guard, takes home All-Conference laurels for the second time in his career, as he was named to the league's Third Team in 2018. The guard has been a scoring machine for the Hawks this season, leading the way with a career-high 16.3 points per game after recording double figures in 27 games, including each of his last 12 contests. 
 
Averaging 17.4 points during America East action, Lynch closed out the league slate ranked fourth in scoring, first in three-point field-goal percentage (.523), second in steals per game (2.2), while finishing third in field-goal percentage (.505), three-point field goals per game (2.8) and assists per game (3.8).
 
A 1,000-point scorer, Lynch became the 22nd Hawk to compile 500-plus points in a single season, as he enters the postseason with 504. The Hoboken, N.J., native will graduate as the only player in program history to record 1,000 career points, 350 assists and 150 steals in a career, as he ranks among the top eight in each category. 
 
A native of Geelong, Australia, Blagojevic garners All-Conference honors for the first time in his career. Entering the postseason one point shy of 1,000 for his career, the forward has enjoyed a breakout year for Hartford in 2018-19. He has more than tripled his scoring average from a season ago (4.5 ppg) with 14.2 points per game while adding a career-best 7.7 rebounds.
 
Shooting a blistering 56.9 percent from the field (99-of-174) to lead all players in conference play, Blagojevic concluded the America East slate ranked eighth in scoring (14.8 ppg), sixth in rebounding (7.3 rpg) and eighth in blocks per game (1.0). In addition, he has earned America East Player of the Week honors a team-best two times this season (Dec. 17, March 4). 

Taking home America East Academic Honor Roll distinction in each of his first three years — including Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition in 2017 and 2018 — Blagojevic holds a 3.57 GPA as a management major. He becomes the first Hawk to be named to the All-Academic Team since Corban Wroe in 2015.
 
Carroll, who also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark earlier this season, is a two-time All-Conference honoree, as he received Second Team distinction in 2018. Averaging 13.7 points during conference play, the forward's 7.4 rebounds per game rank fifth among the league's leaders, while his 0.7 blocks per game are 10th-most. 
 
A Preseason All-Conference selection, Carroll has inked his name throughout Hartford's record book. Recently cracking the top-10 in scoring with 1,398 points, he is fifth in made free throws (334) and ninth in rebounds (621).

A native of Matawan, N.J., Dunne earns All-Conference honors for the second time in his career after taking home Third Team honors in 2018. Also a Preseason All-Conference pick, he has continued to be one of the top three-point threats in the league, ranking second with 2.9 three-pointers per game. Averaging 10.9 points in conference games, he is second in assists with 3.9 per game, while his 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio is also second among the league leaders.
 
Dunne's name is also peppered throughout the program's record book. He enters the postseason ranked sixth in scoring (1,433 points), third in three-point field goals (272) and seventh in assists (289).
 
The quartet of senior award winners has led the Hawks to their most successful two-year stretch in Hartford's Division I history. Coming one victory shy of matching the program record for regular-season victories (17) this season, the Hawks won a school-record 19 games in 2017-18.
 
Earning a top-four seed in back-to-back years for the first time in five seasons, the No. 4 Hawks are set to host No. 5 UMass Lowell in the quarterfinals of the America East Playoffs on Saturday, March 9 (5 p.m.). Hartford enters the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the league, winning four of its past five contests.
