WORCESTER, Mass. –Hartford baseball dropped a midweek road matchup to Holy Cross, 12-6, Wednesday evening.

Drew Holtgrieve finished with a team-high two RBI,as the Hawks fall to 13-23 overall. Andrew Selima went 2-3 with three RBI, as the Crusaders improve to 14-24 on the season.

After Holy Cross jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first two innings, Hartford cut the Crusaders' lead to one with three runs in the top of the third. Senior
Chris Sullivan scored the Hawks' first run of the game, hitting a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Holtgrieve from third base. Freshman

Jackson Olson then took an advantage on an error by the third basemen, making the score 4-3 midway through the third.
Holy Cross outscored Hartford 8-2 heading into the final as the Hawks attempted to mount a rally. Hartford loaded the bases with one as redshirt-sophomore
Bryce Ramsay singled to the third basemen, scoring redshirt-sophomore
Tyler Coppo from third cutting the Crusaders' lead to six (12-6). That would however be the Hawks' final run of the game as their rally came up short, falling to Holy Cross in non-conference action.
